Elegant Home Solutions LLC
Effective Date: May 2, 2026

By approving, signing, or accepting any estimate, proposal, invoice, change order, or service agreement, the Client (“Customer”) agrees to the following Terms and Conditions set forth by Elegant Home Solutions LLC (“Contractor”).

1. Scope of Work

The Contractor agrees to perform only the work specifically described in the written estimate, proposal, invoice, or contract.

Any additional work, including work discovered after the project begins that was not visible or reasonably identifiable at the time of the original estimate, shall require a written change order. Change orders may result in additional costs, schedule adjustments, or project delays and must be approved by the Customer prior to the commencement of additional work.

2. One-Year Labor Warranty

Elegant Home Solutions LLC provides a one (1) year labor-only warranty beginning on the date of substantial project completion.

This warranty covers defects directly related to workmanship performed by the Contractor. This warranty does not cover:

  • Materials, fixtures, appliances, or products supplied by the Customer or third parties 
  • Manufacturer defects 
  • Normal wear and tear 
  • Damage caused by misuse, abuse, neglect, moisture, structural movement, or lack of maintenance 
  • Work altered, repaired, or modified by parties other than the Contractor 

Any warranty claim must be submitted in writing within the warranty period.

3. Materials and Damage Responsibility

The Customer acknowledges that certain site conditions, existing materials, or Customer-supplied products may impact the performance or durability of installed materials.

The Customer shall be financially responsible for any materials damaged due to:

  • Customer-supplied products or fixtures
  • Pre-existing conditions
  • Concealed or hidden conditions
  • Defective products or materials
  • Moisture intrusion or environmental conditions
  • Customer-requested modifications or changes

Replacement material costs and related labor shall be billed to the Customer.

Elegant Home Solutions LLC shall not be responsible for manufacturer defects or failures of third-party products.

4. Permits and Inspections

Unless otherwise stated in writing, the Customer is solely responsible for obtaining required permits and scheduling inspections.

The Contractor shall not be liable for:

  • Permit delays
  • Failed inspections
  • Stop-work orders
  • Code violations related to pre-existing conditions
  • Government fines or penalties

Any additional work required by inspectors, code officials, or municipalities that falls outside the original scope of work shall require a written change order and additional payment.

5. Payment Terms

For projects or invoices totaling over $1,000, payment shall be made according to the following schedule unless otherwise agreed upon in writing:

  • 50% deposit due prior to scheduling or commencement of work
  • 25% due upon project start
  • Remaining 25% due immediately upon substantial completion of work

Failure to make payments as agreed may result in:

  • Suspension or stoppage of work
  • Project delays
  • Rescheduling fees
  • Additional collection costs

Final payment is due immediately upon completion of the agreed-upon scope of work.

6. Deposits and Refunds

All sales are final.

Deposits, progress payments, special-order materials, and completed work are non-refundable. Once materials are ordered or work has commenced, cancellations shall not entitle the Customer to a refund.

7. Unforeseen Conditions

The Contractor shall not be responsible for hidden, concealed, or unforeseen conditions including, but not limited to:

  • Mold
  • Asbestos
  • Water damage
  • Rot
  • Structural deficiencies
  • Outdated or non-compliant plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or framing systems

Any corrective work required due to unforeseen conditions shall be documented and performed only after Customer approval through a written change order.

8. Project Delays

Estimated completion dates are approximate and subject to change.

Elegant Home Solutions LLC shall not be responsible for delays caused by:

  • Weather conditions
  • Material shortages or shipping delays
  • Inspection scheduling
  • Permit delays
  • Customer-requested changes
  • Acts of God
  • Circumstances beyond the Contractor’s reasonable control

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Elegant Home Solutions LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the project, including loss of use, loss of property value, business interruption, or personal inconvenience.

The Contractor’s total liability shall not exceed the total amount paid by the Customer for the specific services provided.

10. Customer Responsibilities

The Customer agrees to:

  • Provide reasonable access to the work area
  • Remove or protect personal belongings and valuables
  • Ensure utilities are operational during the project
  • Keep children and pets away from active work areas

The Contractor shall not be responsible for damage to unsecured or improperly stored personal property.

11. Photography and Marketing

The Customer grants Elegant Home Solutions LLC permission to photograph completed work for portfolio, marketing, advertising, and social media purposes unless otherwise requested in writing prior to project completion.

No personal identifying information or addresses will be disclosed without permission.

12. Acceptance of Terms

Approval, acceptance, signature, payment, or authorization of any estimate, proposal, invoice, or change order — whether written, electronic, verbal, or by payment submission — constitutes full acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

13. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
